Factory Obscura is ready to press play on Mix-Tape, a long, loud love letter to Oklahoma City. While we build the full experience, there's still a lot to see. On March 21, 6-9 PM, we'll open Mix-Tape Phase 1, featuring:

MIX-TAPE BOOMBOX: Hang out, press all the buttons, and experience our interactive window display. Visible from the sidewalk 24/7, starting March 21.

MIX-TAPE GIFT SHOP: Shop our eclectic and experiential gift shop filled with hand-crafted creations by Factory Obscura artists, along with merchandise from local artists, and our friends The Flaming Lips and Meow Wolf.

KING'S MOUTH: Step into the lobby and enjoy a new presentation of Wayne Coyne’s iconic installation the King’s Mouth, fresh off its tour at Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, NM.

FUTURE OF SOUND: In partnership with Tower Theatre OKC, our March 21 celebration features live music performances.

Phase 1 Opening Celebration will be held Thursday, March 21, 6-9 PM with FREE ADMISSION. The Mix-Tape Gift Shop & King's Mouth will be open regular hours starting March 22, 2019. Thursday-Saturday 11-7, Sunday 11-5.

MOMENTUM
As part of our opening weekend, Factory Obscura has partnered with the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition to present Momentum 2019, March 22-23, 8-11 PM. This dynamic and unique event works with Oklahoma artists ages 30 and younger in an environment created specifically for them, helping them gain experience and meet new audiences.

Mix-Tape is the first permanent immersive experience by Factory Obscura. In a world of drag-and-drop, we’re hand-crafting our own 20th-century take on the classic audio autobiography. In this creative space we’ll weave a grassroots “playlist” of music that has inspired our journey into an immersive visual, auditory, and tactile art experience just for you.
