Founded in 2017 at a mysterious meeting, today the artists and leadership of FACTORY OBSCURA are on a mission to support, create, and awaken our community and our world.

What color is it?

It’s the color of access to arts education that’s imperative to healthy kids and communities. It’s the color of community coming together to make something larger than itself.

What flavor is it?

It’s sweet, like thriving wage jobs, not just for artists and artisans, but for all who choose to work with us to create a booming experience economy that makes our awesome city more awesome.

What does it feel like?

It feels cool, like the stones in the bridges we’re building across the things that divide us. So we can all hang out together.

What’s its vibe?

It’s the intensity of the artistic audacity and fearless experimentation that we want to grow...for visual artists, actors, musicians, poets, playwrights, and others who just need the space to try something amazing.

How big is it?

About 40,000-60,000 square feet, with plenty of space for massive experiences, immersive/interactive gardens, artist workshops, an event space, education center, and other community and creative spaces that are critical to the world we envision.
