If, from January 22-26, you notice a glittery glow just east of Automobile Alley, or hear the sounds of hammers and laughter echoing down 9th Street late into the night, never fear.

While the rest of the world yawns and stretches through the post-holiday hibernation, the artists of Factory Obscura will be busy making magic...with upgrades and improvements to the Mix-Tape experience.

“We’ve learned so much from observing the ten-thousand-plus participants who’ve experienced Mix-Tape over the past few months,” says Kelsey Karper, Factory Obscura co-founder and director of logistical creativity. “It has never been our plan to stop building and adding and re-imagining the experience, and the participants have really helped guide these upgrades.”

While our artists work their magic, our Gift Shop and a limited Mix-Tape experience will be open shorter hours. Visit us 12–6 PM that week for one-of-a-kind shopping……and one room of Mix-Tape. Admission is a donation of ANY AMOUNT to our Pay it Forward fund, which makes our arts education initiatives possible!
